This is my fourth year photographing the Intercultural Festival at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. I always look forward to setting foot on campus because I spent some of my most memorable college days here. It always brings back a flood of happy memories. VCU yields a diverse student body with a host of different cultures, religions, and languages. I love that VCU recognizes the diversity and celebrates it with activities such as this festival. This day brings together local food and craft vendors, musicians, and artists to make this day a fun filled event for the guests.
Local vendors gather at Monroe Park to offer delicious food to the visitors during the Intercultural Festival. The Altria Theater makes for a beautiful backdrop right in the heart of the VCU campus.
The Intercultural Festival at VCU always has a new theme each year and goodies for people who attend.
Each year I set my eyes on the funnel cake but I never have time to eat one.
Local crafters display their goods for sale.
There are always many activities to entertain the children.
I always look forward to Seva Omar's performances!
Lastly, I had to get a photograph with this beautiful red door. I have a thing for beautiful architecture.
